2013 is turning out to be the year of the Hike here at スミス 英会話 長岡京. Over the long weekend (Feb 10), we held a delightful event in 京都 (Kyoto) which began with a walk through Gion, proceeded along the Philosopher’s Path and culminated with a 30-minute hike up Daimonji-yama.
It was a lovely day with blue skies overhead and the first signs of plum blossoms dotting our route. We set a leisurely pace, stopping to have lunch and frequently to see the various points of interest along the way. By the time we reached the summit it was getting late, but the view was still superb. If you ever visit Ginkakuji, I highly recommend taking 90 minutes to go up and down Daimonji. You will not be disappointed; the views of Kyoto are spectacular!
One of the pleasures of operating a スミス 英会話 franchise is the opportunity to participate in enjoyable events…and in so doing, further student relationships and learning outside the classroom.
Happy hiking!

By the way, I go up Daimonji-yama at least once a year. It’s a great place.
