Collaboration at Smith’s

You are here: Home / Blog / Collaboration at Smith’s

Hi, it’s Derek from Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi. One of the things I like about being part of Smith’s is the collaboration between English school owners/English coaches. In this blog post, I will give you some examples that show how we collaborate at Smith’s. Let’s get started!

Smith’s Franchise Development Meetings

Last year some Smith’s schools, including mine, started holding Smith’s franchise development meetings together. The purpose of these meetings is to investigate what we are doing now with our exterior face with the aim to better promote and manage our English schools. We take positive action as a direct result of these meetings through collaboration. Also, Smith’s Head Office advises the results to all Smith’s schools. At Smith’s, we believe that together, everybody achieves more (T.E.A.M.)!

Smith’s Head Office Supporting Collaboration Between Smith’s Schools

Smith’s Head Office supports collaboration between different schools to try out new ideas that could bring benefit to all Smith’s schools. Just recently, Edward from Smith’s School of English Otsu started interviewing Smith’s coaches on video. He has ideas on how these interviews could be used to bring benefit to both Smith’s coaches and their English students. His plan was to do it then present his results and ideas to Head Office to be considered for implementation. Edward interviewed me. I was happy to support his effort and he had some great ideas. Keep up the great work, Edward!

Collaboration Benefits Both Smith’s Coaches and Smith’s Students

I believe this collaboration we have at Smith’s is beneficial to both Smith’s English coaches and Smith’s English students. It addition to allowing us to better promote and manage our English schools, we can offer before services to our English students. So it’s a win-win situation for everybody! (^.^)

Nice write up, Derek. It’s always reassuring to be able to meet with everyone and get the support we need.
