Change is good.
I just wanted to remind everyone of the importance of changing things up from time to time. Change the decor in your school, change the music or the ambience. Seasonal decorations in the classroom and adding seasonal themes to your lessons make everything more interesting. Refreshing your teaching skills and changing up the activities within your lessons is a great way to invigorate your students and make your days more fun.
We usually flyer our local stations 2-3 mornings a week (JR大津駅、JR膳所駅、JR石山駅). The same people walk by every morning and the same people take flyers and the same people say “good morning”. So last week we switched things up a bit. We changed exits, changed times (got up good and early and got the super early-bird) and changed jackets! Brrrrr it’s cold wearing those white windbreakers. So it’s time to pull out the blue jackets and change our colour. Out with white, in with blue. Change feels good.
Today I went drastic and changed stations! Totally new station (草津JR駅): 5 local stops away (2 rapid stops), but full of people who have never seen me before. All I can say is this: eager people make for a good day! The middle of the afternoon at a new station, 1 coach flyering in a t-shirt: 800 flyers in 4 hours, and I took a lunch break in the middle!
So get out there and change things up, you’ll feel great!

Great Job Edward!
I like the idea. Change things up, keep life fresh! And the blue Jackets are very warm indeed. It is amazing the difference when you start flyering a new station. But don’t give up on those regular flyer-takers. They sometimes pile up the flyers for a year or more before taking the plunge and booking the trial lesson. You never know when they will show up at your door for you to offer them a cup of tea and some Canadian hospitality.

Nicely put- “Canadian hospitality”. We do often offer maple tea and maple cookies at our school. Sometimes we have Canadian Candied Salmon as prizes at our event nights.
Flyers… 3 days a week, 2 hours a day. 7:30-9:30 at your station! Extra is complementary, not supplementary.

Very cool picture Edward! And everything you say is spot on. Change things up! jim
