A few weeks ago I asked out a few students as well as some teachers for dinner at a local restaurant. Over the past 13 years I’ve gotten to know Hirakata pretty well and found some fantastic restaurants so it’s always nice to introduce my students to them. One such place is just a stone’s throw away from my classroom and it has one of the most extensive menus in the area. It has pizza, korean dishes, great Yakitori and pretty much something for everyone, not to mention a great choice of drinks to choose from. It just so happened that the day we had our appointment was the day that my child was born so it became more than just a small gathering but rather a celebration. We ate, chatted and laughed for most of the night. It felt great that I could share that little piece of my life with them. Thanks everyone!!
Adrian
ps. in case you’re wondering the name of the restaurant is PUNRAKU, check it out if you’re in the area, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
