I’m having fun at my English conversation school (英会話スクール), Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi (スミス英会話塚口校)in Amagasaki City(尼崎市), Hyogo Prefecture(兵庫県), Japan. Last Sunday, I attended a Smith’s seminar in Yokohama and used a Japanese bullet train (Shinkansen) as you can read about in “My Trip to Yokohama to Attend a Smith’s Seminar“. As people often use bullet trains or airplanes to travel long distances in Japan, this week I decided to ask some students which they preferred, using the following one-point English from the Smith’s curriculum: I prefer (A) to (B) because (C). It’s a great way to teach or review comparatives and is fun. Students can also learn some new vocabulary from me, such as “offer a smoother ride”. They did a great job. From the students that I asked, more preferred bullet trains than airplanes. I thank them all for their great work! (^.^)
