Hello everyone. Here’s an interesting little story of something that happened recently.
The recent 1-point homework : “I think ______ is generous because ______ ” set off an interesting chain of events with one of the English conversation students at the Smith’s School of English in Kotoen スミス英会話 甲東園. The student has long had a most endearing habit of handing out little gifts to most anyone she meets, and this has developed into a culture between seven or eight senior students.
Gifts are normally something small that can be consumed during the lesson, and at times other than in the Wine-Tasting Course, I always keep several liters of the most delicious imported organic fruit juice on hand to accompany any such ‘unexpected’ offerings.
In the cutest way imaginable, students started saying things like : “I think I am generous because I always like to take my friends out for coffee and cake.”. Another then said, “I think I am generous because when somebody gives me a present I always give a present back.”
Remember this nearly always translates into some kind of a food treat so my wife decided to take this to a whole new level. She made another one and this is her second. It has over a pound of blueberries on it. How much is that in grams I wonder ….
