Birthdays at Kotoen

You are here: Home / Blog / Birthdays at Kotoen

Maybe it’s astrological destiny, or maybe pure coincidence, but one of my students has the same birthday as me. We discovered this in our first lesson together. (her husband and my boyfriend are also both Leos!) Our birthday is Sunday so we decided to have a mini-party in our lesson on Thursday.

Birthday ingredient number 1: Cake! She made me a melt-in-mouth raisin cake. Martin tried to buy a fresh cream cake, but we forgot about high school baseball final season. Much the same as trying to get a ticket to Guam at New Year – may the force be with you! So he got a baum cake and a mixed mini-cake assortment.

Birthday ingredient number 2: Presents! She gave me a lovely aromatherapy spray and candle. I gave her…

Birthday ingredient number 3: Flowers! Huge bunch of Lillis and sunflowers and some unidentified blue things. They smelt divine. Birthday ingredient number 4: Photos! Coming soon (^o^)v

It’s days like these that make me realize how lucky I am to have such an awesome group of students. What’s even better is that every trial lesson I do, our new students are just as fabulous. Is it Kotoen magic?

Now if only a certain student would bring me my television (every week we discuss a different way of “aquiring” a nice big whiteboard-sized flatscreen TV – she works in the show room of major company)… \(^o^)/
