Beautiful Kinmokusei Flowers

Kinmokusei flowersI love the Kinmokusei flowers. The orange smell is one reason. Another is because it blooms around the anniversary of my move to Japan.

Four years ago in October I arrived in Japan to start a new life, and it has been amazing. I have been able to visit many places in this beautiful country. My life here has been so enjoyable that it is hard to believe that so much time has passed. I am reminded of the phrase “Time flies when you are having fun.”

The fun that I am having is not just from traveling, but also from being an English coach. The Smith’s Eikaiwa system adds to the enjoyment of being here and of coaching. I love what I do and I love where I live. There is no place else that I would want to be. There is nothing else that I would want to do.

Kinmokusei flowersThese years have been like a vacation; one that never ends. Every time the Kinmokusei blossoms, I remember the beginning of my life here. I smile when I think of how far I have come and the things I have done. These flowers will always have a special place in my heart as a symbol of new beginnings. I am looking forward to many more years in Japan and with Smith’s Eikaiwa.
