Don’t you just love this fall weather? The temperature during the day is just right. And in the evening it is not yet very cool so the evenings are nice too.
It makes me remember all those years that I worked from dawn to dusk and hardly even saw the daylight. Being a Smith’s teacher-owner certainly has its perks and some of them are as simple as being able to enjoy the sunlight on a fine autumn day. It really beats working for a company in an office and not really being in control of your destiny.
After taking this fork and traveling down this road for about 15 months, I am still enjoying every day. Little things like a student who brings Valentine’s candy, some cake, some donuts or a nice sandwich are nice little surprises that make this job special. It is certainly not your normal 9-5 job! So far I am having a great time and enjoying the freedom that having my own school has brought. I think I will keep going at this for a long time yet!
