Last Monday, I was happy when a student of my English conversation (英会話) school in Tsukaguchi told me that she had struck up a conversation with a foreigner here in Japan. Fantastic! They even had tea together! Wow! Great job, Suyo! The foreigner was a female tourist and turned out to be Canadian like me. (^.^)
I encourage all of my Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi (スミス英会話 塚口校) students and all other Smith’s School of English students to do like Suyo did and strike up a conversation with a foreigner any chance they get! Don’t be shy, students! Just do it! (^.^)
