Eating Out at the Italian restaurant Cafe Boem （カフェーべーム）with the English students（英会話生徒） from the Smith’s School of English（英会話学校） in Fuse （布施）!
On a Saturday in May, we met at Cafe Boem (カフェーべーム） to enjoy delicious Italian food in Fuse （布施）. One week in one of the English conversation lessons （英会話レッスン） at the Smith’s school of English(英会話学校）in Fuse, we talked about nice things to do in our hometown. As everybody likes to eat good food, we naturally started talking about nice restaurants in the area. In the lesson, we decided to eat out together.
The Cafe Boem in Fuse is a reasonable and popular Italian restaurant not far from the Kintetsu Fuse station （近鉄布施駅）, so we decided to meet there on a Saturday night and eat together! It took some planning and we told all the other English students (英会話生徒）. Finally, we fixed a day and decided to order the “party menu” ahead, a convenient cheap choice with salad, soup, antipasti, spaghetti, pizza, dessert and a drink.
We met at eight o’clock in the restaurant. Because I was teaching till just before eight and had to close the Smith’s school of English （英会話学校） in Fuse （布施）, I was nearly the last to arrive at the restaurant! Because we had ordered the party menu ahead, the food started coming right away! For the spaghetti dish, we could choose freely from the menu, so everybody could eat their favorites and try a couple of other spaghetti dishes as well!
We spent a nice time eating, chatting and laughing for about two hours. The food was very good and plenty. It was really great. Just before finishing off with the dessert, we had a small English quiz about different English speaking countries. Everybody could choose their favorite country and check up some information about it. After everybody was finished, we introduced all the countries and use the English we learned in the English conversation lessons (英会話レッスン）. The winner was the English student who had introduced an English speaking country no other student had chosen. After the quiz, we finished the evening off with a delicious dessert of cake and ice cream. It was a fantastic evening.
