I have some free time before I teach my next lesson so I thought I’d come and tell you about my last lesson today. I taught present continuous tense to two students, one of whom began studying with me just last week. I pretended calling them by telephone and asking them what they were doing. I also asked them where and why they were doing it. One student said she was studying English at Smith’s School. Then I asked her why. She said she was studying because she is likes English. I then asked her a question in simple present tense which is not easy to answer: “Why do you like English?” She said that she likes it because she likes Americans. I said “I’m Canadian!” and pretended to cry. They laughed. “And Canadians!” she blurted out. More laughter. Teaching English in Japan at my English school is lots of fun! (^.^)
