On Sunday, November 1, 2009 a Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi student, my wife and I went to a visual deception exhibition which was being held at Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. About 140 works from all over the world were being displayed there. They ranged from traditional illusionism from the 16th century to contemporary works. We enjoyed the works then went to a nice steak restaurant that my student had invited my wife and I to. We sat at a long counter and a man behind the counter cooked the food we had ordered for us, right in front of us. He cooked the food not all at once but bit by bit, serving us what was ready onto our plates. This way the steak and vegetables he cooked were always hot, which was great! After that we went to a cafe where we had dessert. My wife and student had crepes with tea or coffee while I had 2 different kinds of tartes with coffee. Both came with ice-cream. The tartes were absolutely delicious! I was in heaven! Later on, my wife and I said goodbye to my student. We had had a great time. Doing things with Smith’s School of English students is always a lot of fun for us! (^.^)
