January has nearly come and gone already! Here at SSE Kamishinjo, we are off to a running start. We are hopeful that this year will be even better than last. Already, it looks promising in terms of trials and new students. We have made plans to begin including children in our student body, and plan to focus strongly on promoting our school in 2009. We have also started the planning for this year’s events. Last year’s events were all great successes and we look forward to more good times with our students, both new and old.
We also look forward to joint events with other Smith’s schools. We have decided to plan a hike in March for SSE Kamishinjo students, friends and family members and we think this would be a perfect joint event. Any interested schools, please contact us by e-mail. We are still considering our options as to where we will go, so if anyone knows of a great hike that would be good for all levels and ages, please feel free to offer ideas. I am looking forward to providing my students with the opportunity to meet many other people who share their interest in learning English, as well as the opportunity to meet other native speakers.
By the way…thanks Edward…SSE Otsu….for reminding me it was time to make a post!!! You are the Team Spirit of Smith’s School of English, which is another thing that is great about being a part of the franchise…having other Franchisees for support, encouragement and sometimes even a proverbial kick in the butt!!!
Edward says
Carol-
You are welcome, anytime. The team spirit of which you speak is impossible without the TEAM component, so I take little credit for that.
A hike sounds like fun. Although it’s a little far, Mt.Hiei in Ohtsu is a great hike. About 2 hours up for an average hiker, and if you are tired you can take the cable car or gondola back down. Let me know when and where and maybe SSE Ohtsu can join you.
We will be going to Sumo on the 20th of March, maybe SSE Kamishinjo would care to join us for that?
Edward, SSE Ohtsu
