The September 2009 edition of “Kia Ora from New Zealand“, which is my student’s blog in Japanese, is now up! (日本語)
There’s some exciting and dramatic news in this most recent posting!
What would you do if you got a job overseas, got permament residency, brought some of your family over, and then suddenly found out… that the company you were working for was closing its doors?! Most people would feel a bit panicked, probably including myself!
In these times of economic uncertainty, it seems that the only certain thing is “change” and our readiness to accept it and move on. This seems to be the case all over the world presently.
“Non”, as she is nicknamed, works in the health care industry and as you are probably already aware, this is one area which is definitely seeing some major changes; regardless of what country you are living in!
I recommend checking out this lastest posting and perhaps opening up a discussion on health care as your students see it here in Japan and also what their views are on the topic globally.
So, what does this funny picture have to do with health care?
Check out the article and find out, or ask one of your students to inform you.
