Earlier today I read some postings on the Soapbox by a couple of my fellow franchisees referring to local festivals in their towns which they have been enjoying and I remembered that one of my own students had recently recommended one such festival to me.

It is called the Higashi Osaka International Friendship Festival and its coming up at the beginning of November.

I am looking forward to getting out there in this comfortable autumn weather and meeting more of my local neighbors.

I’ve heard that we can… enjoy dances, songs and music shows by performers from various countries but I think personally that what I am most looking forward to is trying the various international foods which will be sold by the local vendors!

Getting out to these local festivals is a fun way to get to know your neighbors better while at the same time promoting your business.

It sounds like a winner to me!

Check it out here!

    Alex,

I agree with you about the festivals in Japan. They are great. I really appreciate the local people who keep these events alive year after year. And it can never help to meet the local merchants and even maybe to join the group that actually puts on and organizes the festival. The more we become a part of the community, the more we become the place for the local people to go to for great English coaching.
