At the most recent seminars with Mark Smith, the new online One Point system was introduced (英会話無料レッスン on www.smithweb.co.jp). The first month of using it has come and gone, and students are responding well to it. At first, most of my students were uncertain using it, then they grew to like it, and recently they have been praising it! In my class at SSE Ohtsu last week, Mr. Noichi came in, sat down and said “The other day I met [former Ohtsu teacher] Craig by chance in my dreams, so we decided to go scuba diving” (Craig loved scuba diving). I was both surprised and proud of his usage of the previous week’s one point. I complimented him and he responded that he LOVED the new online one point system and said “I can study on smith website, practice in class, review, and then use”
I thought his summary of the new system was spot-on. He really hit the nail on the head and I wanted to display his wonderful words for everyone to enjoy. I also wanted to expand on this nice sentence.
Q: Why is the new online one point system so great?
A: Because you can pre-study the one point online, practice it in class, review it the next lesson and then use it confidently with friends, everyday, abroad!
Try it and you will see- students love it!
