スミス英会話 桂 Student’s Trip Report – Taipei

You are here: Home / Blog / スミス英会話 桂 Student’s Trip Report – Taipei

Last month a student at Smith’s School of English Katsura(スミス英会話 桂) went to Taipei with his wife (also a student at Smith’s 桂) and decided to write a trip report in English. I’m very happy to share his report and one picture. Tomoki and Itsuko had a great time. Thank you for sharing.

*April 15th.

We left for Taipei. We arrived in Taipei after about 2 hours. Then we went to the hotel by a pick-up bus. We stayed at the ‘City Suites’ for three nights.

We ate a seafood noodles at a restaurant near the hotel. And we went to the Shilin Night Market. There are many food stands, clothing stores. It’s so interesting.

*The second day we went to Longshan Temple by train. It’s the most famous temple in Taipei. There are many worshipers.

Then, we lost our way and wandered into a local market. We went to a fruits shop. There are many kinds of fruits. We ordered a mango. This was my first time I have eaten a mango. It’s so sweet.

*Next day we left for Jiufen by bus. After 45 minutes we arrived at Jiufen. Originally it was a gold mine, but now it’s a tourist spot.

*The fourth day.We had some fruits and salad for breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we went to a shopping street near the hotel. We were looking for a shopping street. On the road, a Taiwanese man called us. He said, ‘Where are you going to?’ in Japanese language. He told me the way to a shopping street. We arrived there after 5 minutes. We found the juice stand. We were looking forward to drinking mango smoothie in the shop.

I have never drunk such a delicious juice.

Then, we went downtown for a lunch. We entered the cafe and ordered a salad, fruits tea, sandwich and water drip coffee. After lunch we went back to the hotel.

The free shuttle airport shuttle car arrived at the hotel at 1:30 pm. We left for Japan at 5 pm and arrived in Japan after about 2 hours.

Taiwanese are very kind to Japanese. Taipei city is clean and safe. Foods are so tasty. From Japan to Taipei it’s about 2 hours.

I recommend Taipei for a trip.
