Back in January of this year I wrote a posting about one of my students from Smiths School of English in Fuse who had gone to England for several months to study English and about some of the phrases which she had learned while studying with me that she found especially helpful during her first few weeks.  I believe “I have no idea!” was the most useful in the beginning!  We kept in touch by email several times during her stay in England.  I regularly keep in touch with my former students who are now working and studying overseas and I always enjoy hearing of their new experiences in a foreign country.

Well, last night I had a very pleasant surprise to see her…back in my classroom at Smiths School of English in Fuse.  We had a very joyous reunion in the lobby before class with much laughter and hugs!

The difference in her English speaking ability was dramatic!  She left my school one year ago as a Pink Level and now returned as a Red Level.  Her confidence and enjoyment in speaking English was electrifying and I’m sure she is going to enjoy the classes she will participate in now as a new Red Level student.

I assured her that my goal is to reinforce what she has studied so far and challenge her to reach the next level in speaking English.  I always challenge my students to try and reach for the next level as difficult and sometimes slightly uncomfortable as it may seem.  We only move forward by setting the bar higher and that is my goal at Smiths School of English in Fuse.  I also know that this is the goal of all of my fellow teachers at Smiths School of English.

I am thrilled that my student values the lessons I offer at Smiths School of English in Fuse so much that she has happily chosen to return.  I promised her to do my best to help her continue along the path of English speaking fluency and I know we will have many enjoyable lessons together in the future.  She is very outgoing and personable and I know she will bring much energy into the classroom.

Thank you again for returning to Smiths School of English in Fuse.  I am looking forward to many fun classes together!

    Alex-

Great story. Return students are a testament to the quality of the lessons and care at Smith’s. I;ve heard so many amazing stories like this one.

Recently I heard of a 3 year old starting lessons at a school in Kyoto. After the first lesson, the little boy’s mother asked the teacher if he remembered her…. She was a student he had taught 8 years before. She had studied at Smith’s so she could live and work abroad, and while abroad got married, had a son and moved back to Japan with her family. She wanted her son to learn English and the first thing she thought about was Smith’s. She said she was soooooo happy that the same teacher was still there.

What a powerful and solid system we are a part of.
