スミス英会話大津 ハロウィンパーティ SSE Ohtsu Halloween Party

You are here: Home / Blog / スミス英会話大津 ハロウィンパーティ SSE Ohtsu Halloween Party

スミス英会話大津、ハロウィンパーティの日本語のサイトです。

On November 1st, SSE Ohtsu hosted a magnificent night of games, scary costumes, delicious treats (and pizza), pumpkin carving, treat-or-treating and more! A dozen of us crammed into our school: witches, skeletons, a giant pumpkin, a japanese comedian, a supermodel, and “Edo the Edo Samurai” (that’s me!). We had a great time singing and telling scary stories by moonlight, chatting, looking for hidden treats, carving a pumpkin (donating by a student), and devouring lots of great food.

To watch a short and fun video of the fun and games at the party, click here: SSE Ohtsu Halloween Party 2008

In japan, most people do not celebrate halloween, and so we foreigners are often homesick for a little halloween fun. I’d like to thank our students for coming, creating wonderfully creative costumes and bringing so many nice treats and stories. I can’t wait for next years party! Next at SSE Ohtsu will be a Christmas/ Hanukkah all-u-can eat all-u-can-drink evening, maybe held in Zeze (膳所駅) or Ishiyama (石山駅)!

SSE Ohtsu has Very Cute Witches!

It seems many other Smith’s schools had halloween parties as well. Look at pictures of Adrian’s party at SSE Hirahata HERE, read about Carol and Yuichi’s party at SSE Kamishinjo HERE and watch Al’s video from his 2007 party at SSE Okamoto HERE.

A Great Group of Students!

Another great English event at SSE Ohtsu in Spooky Shiga Ken!

Halloween is always a fun time and it’s the perfect time to take pictures. Looks like you had fun at your party. I replied to your message elsewhere but if you’re interested in my D70 just let me know. Maybe sometime we could get together and look at discuss photography?!

    Hi Edward,

It looks like your Halloween party was a great success. Great video, too. I’ll have to figure out how to do that sometime soon.

Thanks for your interest in our Halloween party!! We got our pumpkins on the internet at the Foreign buyer’s club. They weren’t cheap, but our students loved carving them. The pic is not ours. Unfortunately, I was unable to successfully download any of our halloween pics….still working on it….
