Hey everyone! For those interested in wine and a little familiar with Canada have probably heard about the famous, semi-desert region in South-Central British Columbia called the Okanagan Valley. This area gets almost no rain and temperatures easily reach 40 degrees and bone dry in summer!! Not bad for Canada, eh?
The Okanagan has many pristine fjord lakes and has long been famous for summer leisure activities, water sports and the huge production of world-class fresh fruit. In recent years, the wine industry has boomed because the Okanagan is particularly well suited for the growth of Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
The long story short is some of these tasty wines are starting to find their way into Japan! Go have a look for them! I can provide specific information in future postings!

Thanks Martin!
That’s great. Being from BC, I would love to know where to get these wines in Japan. I am getting tired of carrying Okanagan Ice Wine souvenirs back with me all the time! For those of ytou who have never tried Okanagan wine, I second Martin’s recommendation (in particular I recommend ice wine).
