Many English schools in Japan today work 365 days a year with no holidays. No chance to refresh the schools at all. The Teachers work a mix of shift work, weekends, late nights, early mornings, or other supermarket like conditions. At Smith’s school of English we enjoy our holidays. WE know the benefits of running schedules to fit humans within an educational environment. Holidays are good for the students, teachers and school premises alike. When teaching English in Japan or any other country be sure to only place yourself in an environment that supports the need for those all important, refreshing holidays. Holidays add quality to both your English teaching and private life.
At Smith’s School of English Franchises we believe in the importance of rest and play. We have plenty of set holidays each year that do not affect the income of the franchises schools. The holidays are marked in red on this calendar.
Please remember that at Smith’s, our franchised teachers own their schools. They are the boss! Whenever they want to take time off in addition to the scheduled close downs, they simply schedule in a part-time teacher. Part-time teachers are most often requested and supplied from the franchise head office.
