On Saturday a mother and her daughter stopped by to check on a trial. I was near the end of a lesson but did not think that I could do a trial in less than 15 minutes, so I called the staff and gave the mother the phone to set up a trial time for her daughter. The daughter is a high school student and seems to be very interested in English. With the excellent help of the staff the trial was set up for Tuesday the next week. I finished the lesson with my student and I think that they were glad to have this chance to see me in the actual lesson than they would have been if we had done the trial right away. My student also was kind enough to tell them that I was a very good and kind teacher. I told the mother and daughter that I was looking forward to seeing them again at the trial. They said in Japanese, as they left, that they would see me soon.
It is times like this that make me realize how much it helps to have the support of a well-trained staff at the head office to set up the trials and lessons. It gives me a lot of peace of mind and I am sure that the potential students also feel the same way.
I am looking forward to the trial!
