the true joy of life

You are here: Home / Blog / the true joy of life

There’s nothing like a nice break to refresh our minds and bodies. This Obon my wife and I spent some quality time with our newborn child and I was able to get my new TV set up properly with my computer so I was happy. Sitting in our so-called theater room watching Die Hard 4 in high definition I thought back to an event that happened 4 short years ago and how close my wife and I were to losing our lives. Even today it’s hard for me to believe that it happened to us so whenever that happens I sit down and reread my own story just to remind myself. At the bottom I’ve included the link for those that need reminding how blessed we all truly are.

If you do read it please just take a moment to reflect on how lucky we all are. I know I am.

    Adrien,

I read your story about the tsunami- that is amazing. Obviously you have alot to be thankful for and you must have a lucky streak in you. I look forward to seeing some magic tricks from you too. Maybe post a video?

    Adrian,

I second the idea proposed by Ed. A video of a magic trick would be great.

I also read the post at Hubpages about your Tsunami experience. I remember watching that on TV a few years ago and felt lucky too although not nearly as lucky as you. My wife and I had visited Phuket and Ko Phi Phi in October of the same year. We did a lot of snorkeling and had we gone in December per my wife’s suggestion, we too might either not be here or, if as fortunate as you, telling a similar story about a life-death experience. Thank you for sharing that experience with us. I am sure that many people will get a lot out of that story and appreciate life more.

    Adrian,

    CONGRATULATIONS!

I hadn’t heard any news about a new baby until I read this post.
Please post some info about your new addition! We’d love to meet your little one!
