the difference

You are here: Home / Blog / the difference

Recently there have been a few posts by a few franchisees talking about the cooperation at Smith’s and how effective our TEAM really is. Probably the best thing about working with such dedicated people is that we each bring something different to the table. Over the past 8 years there have been improvements in the curriculum, materials, website and many of these came about thanks to the hard work of the teachers working alongside me. It’s truly a joy to be in an environment where so many people care.

Change in any industry is inevitable. People are constantly coming up with new ideas and technology is taking us places few could have imagined many years ago. Trying to keep up with the trends is tough when you’re out there alone. Thanks to the staff at the head office, our leader Mark Smith and the other teachers in the system I always feel that Smith’s is able to stay current and adapt to the market more easily than both bigger schools (fragmented) and smaller ones (too many responsibilities).

    Hi Adrian,
Nice to read your posts; there is always a lot of meat in them.
I was reflecting on what you said about the changes in the industry, and I felt that I got the best insight on these trends from the meetings at head office. I felt like I am right there on the ground where it is happening. I have to say that it sure gives me a sense of participation and ownership. Its nice to be part of this team. Your comments at the meetings are also particularly helpful. thanks a lot.

Thanks Les, glad to know people enjoy my posts…I try my best to write a mix of inspirational pieces, feel good pieces and enjoyment. It’s great when my job is my hobby.

    Adrian,

I thought your hobby was your job? Or is your job your hobby? Love for what you do is such a great thing in life. I too find your posts “meaty” and feel your contribution at meetings is tantamount. Your approach to topics is so fresh. Much appreciated. Keep ’em coming!
