Ever since I came to Japan back in 1994 I was amazed at how interested the Japanese people were in English. It seems to transcend all age groups. Students in junior high school and high school are forced to learn English but unfortunately the focus is on grammar and reading rather than communication. Here in Hirakata there is a big university that focuses on the study of languages yet amazingly most of them lack the confidence to talk with foreigners and end up realizing too late that they need more personal attention than they can get at their university where classes usually consist of 16-20 students. That’s where we, Smith’s School of English, come in. Our classes are limited to 3 people in a class and allow ample amount of chance for each student to use what they know. I just hope that more students realize the golden opportunity they have to master English.

So true! I hope that all of those GAIDAI students will soon beat a path to your door or one of the Smith’s schools.
