Please welcome Tyler Jonas Bowman to Azamino SSE and to the world in general. He arrived late Friday evening on September 5th after his mom endured 24 long hours of labor. Just check out that smile and you’ll see that he was well worth the effort.
Tyler’s the spitting image of Mike yet has that serious furrow to his brow just like Deana when she’s making a tough decision. The happy family are home from the hospital now and Mike spends every spare second upstairs with his beautiful son.
Deana’s wonderful and knowledgeable Aunt Pat from Calgary, Alberta, Canada made the trip to Japan to help Deana and Mike during their first few weeks of parenthood and arrived just in the nick of time, only minutes before Deana went into labor.
Not that Tyler has any shortage of visitors. Most of the students here at Azamimo SSE have been with the school long enough to feel part of the family themselves so there are plenty of Aunties and Grandma’s up visiting Deana and Tyler before and after their lessons.
Again, a big and hearty welcome to Tyler and congratulations to Mom and Dad !
Congratulations to you both!
You have a very handsome young son there!
Best wishes to Deana, Mike and little Tyler!

I am way jealous. Congratulations to both of you. The joy outweighs the headaches, believe me…You are very lucky people. Beautiful boy! Jim
Mike and Deana,
Congrats to both of you! We would love to follow in your footseps in the future, pave the way! And of course we’d love to meet your new baby! Enjoy this special time.

Hi Mike and Deana,
Congratulations. It is wonderful news. Best wishes to all three of you and Aunt Pat. Isn’t it great that Mike can pop upstairs and be with Tyler between lessons. It is so convenient and rewarding owning a Smith’s School of English. How many fathers have a chance to see and participate in their new born son’s care on work days. Fantastic! And Tyler certainly does look like Mike, in particular, in the photo that Deana sent me of Tyler in his dad’s arms in which both father and son are sleeping. So cool and such a very precious photograph.
Hi,
Les here from Ikoma. I want to offer you both a belated congratulations! You must be very happy (and very tired!). Give my regards to Tyler and have lots of fun with him!

A big congratulations to you both. Welcome to the wonderful world of parenthood. If you’re ever in Osaka then we’d love to introduce our family to your growing clan.
