I’m between lessons and just got off the phone from Gavin at Smith’s School of English head office. At the last training seminar I had promised to get on my computer and write something for the new blog. Between my full schedule and the (excellent) Golden Week holidays, I had kept putting it off. Partly this was because I’ve gotten out of the habit of using my computer, and partly because I was a bit intimidated by the whole “blog” thing. I’ve never written a blog before, so I really didn’t know where to start.
Last week Gavin had sent me a login and password and asked me about it again. When I still hadn’t gotten around to it today he gave me a call to see if the login actually worked and if I had run into any problems with it. I told him I really didn’t know what I was doing, so he took the time to walk me through it step by step. He also graciously answered my (silly) questions about all the buttons and new blog-lingo. Gavin is kept quite busy with a lot of tasks out there at head office, but really went the extra mile in teaching me how to do this. He did a great job and it turned out to be a piece of cake!
You’ll be hearing more from me from now on!
Thanks for taking the extra time, Gavin!
Deana
