Today is Sunday and I was looking at my email and suddenly the phone rang. “Who could be calling me on this what should be a day off” I thought. Turns out it was Mark Smith, Smith’s School of English founder calling. He said that he was just about to leave for the yacht harbor to spend some quality family time but wanted to help me to understand how to improve my website and my business via the Soapbox blog area. In a few minutes he showed me how to include a link in my post and we talked for a few minutes about how great it is to live in Japan and teach English. I was really impressed that Mark would go out of his way to help me on his day off. More and more I am becoming happier about the decision to make this career move to buy this school and teach English in Japan.
It has not been easy for sure as you can see in my article about my first Christmas in Japan as a coach of communicative confidence, but it is becoming more rewarding every day. The SSE website is a big reason for the success of this franchise system but the support that Mark gives the franchisees on an ongoing basis is excellent! Hat’s off to you Mark. Keep up the good work!
