Celebrity at SSE, Azamino

Here at SSE, Azamino, we have a small celebrity in our midst.  His name is Tyler and he is Mike and Deana’s  adorable 8 week old son.  I’m not kidding when I say he’s a celebrity.  Whenever he comes into the school, accompanied by his mom of course, all the ladies drop their pens, forget their lessons and rush out of the classroom leaving their bewildered teacher wondering if Tom Cruise is in the house.  

     Amidst ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ and a flurry of flashes from their cameras, they eagerly wait for their chance to hold him.   Deana thinks they are just being polite but that’s not the case at all.   One of our female students recently told us that before class, she clips her fingernails  and removes her jewelry so that she won’t injure him.   

    The other day, while I was teaching a group of ladies, Tyler and Deana arrived for a short visit.  As soon as we heard his tiny little cry, one of my student’s arms jerked out involuntarily, almost knocking over her tea, as tho’ she was already holding him in her arms.    

    I’ve no doubt that Mike and Deana could raffle off the position of babysitter should they wish to have a night out on the town.   Don’t forget you guys…  you can’t be the best mom and dad in the galaxy if you don’t take some time for yourselves.
