Apple Photobooks

You are here: Home / Blog / Apple Photobooks

One of the big reasons I’m such a fan of Apple computers these days is their Iphoto program. While Picasa 3 does a better job of organizing photos and makes it easy to find a certain photo you’re looking for, Iphoto has one function that I can’t find anywhere else. With just a few clicks we can create our own professional photo books. You choose the layout, the size, and the photos you want to use and then you’re off. It’s that easy. This year they are adding some revolutionary features such as face recognition (which will allow you to search for friends WITHIN photos) and slideshows that can be exported to the handheld devices such as the Iphone. As always Mac has also got video tutorials that guide you through the process making it as easy as pie. The books can be ordered online and will arrive at your doorstep within 2 weeks. They make great keepsakes and people are always impressed when they see them for the first time – I know I was.

If anyone hears of a windows program that has the same feature please let me know I’d love to give it a test drive.

Adrian

For non Mac users in Japan… simple and easy to make yet professional looking and very nice albums can be made at most department store photo counters for around 1500 yen, usually takes about a week. Just take in your digital files and they take care of the rest.

    Adrian,

That sounds so cool! Are they expensive? I guess with my two PCs I cannot do it unless I get a Mac, right? Anyway, thanks for the information and I would really like to see one of the photo books sometime. I can see how having the ability to do that could be very useful to a teacher and helpful for your students. Keep up the good work!
