Smith’s School of English Fukushima, Osaka has been teaching English conversation to the Japanese for many years now. As a neighbourhood school we enjoy many benefits not normally available to big city schools. Of course Fukushima is not really a small town at all, however it really retains a lot of old style Osaka charm.
I have been involved with teaching English Conversation at Fukushima school for 3 years now. Before I began here Martin Zander who now teaches at Smith’s School of English Kotoen used to teach here for many years. Martin and I often meet for lunch or just a coffee and we enjoy chatting about our schools and teaching English a great deal.
To me the Fukushima school has a special grace of it’s own. Being so close to Umeda one could easily imagine that Fukushima has a “down-town” feel. I dont find it to be that way at all. Many of the people living in Fukushima can trace their family history back to many generations of Fukushima families. This calm feeling of stability is very obvious here in Fukushima.
There are many wonderful shops and restaurants which I am sure will welcome you just as they have welcomed me. Come over and give Fukushima a try.
Mark.
