This year I will be spending the Smith’s Golden Week holiday (April 20-May 7) in Tsukaguchi, Amagasaki. I have lots to do:
1. Moving
My family recently bought an old house in good condition in Tsukaguchi, Amagasaki near Hankyu Tsukaguchi Station. We are having it renovated now and will be moving into it by the end of this month. My wife, daughter and I will be painting 3 upstairs rooms ourselves! (^.^)
2. Teaching English to My Daughter
My wife and I hope to get our daughter, Tina, into an international school in Osaka. On May 7, she will be given assessment tests and we’ll be having a family interview with some school staff there. During my holiday I’m going to teach her English as much as possible to get her ready. I began teaching her at Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi this week on Friday. That’s her in the photo on that day. She’s doing a great job!
3. Training a New Teacher
I will be training a new teacher to help me with teaching. She is a Japanese, high-level English conversation student of mine in Tsukaguchi who used to teach English in junior high schools in Japan. Her English is great and she’s fluent in English. She’ll make a great addition to our team of English teachers teaching English conversation at Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi and Smith’s School of English Kawanishi.
Thank you Smith’s Head Office for the nice long holiday!
Derek
