Hello dear readers! It may come as a surprise to learn that not all of Japan is urban sprawl and concrete! In fact, there are just as many worthy places for relaxing and sight-seeing Japan’s peaceful getaways as there are in a familiar European country. It is easy to love living and working in this safe and friendly land.
Some people naturally prefer to be in quieter places, and there are many such places in which to spend time sight-seeing Japan. Indeed, traveling only one hour outside of a major center is often enough to find what you’re looking for.
From a dream to living Japan’s Peaceful Getaways :
One concern I had in wanting to live in a rural area is finding a job. I wanted to earn an income teaching English but could not find any major English conversation schools where I wanted to live. I decided to open my own school. On my do-list I noted registration of business but also renting a place to live and work. There needs to be a website to attract students. A balance between work and play time must be identified. Also I need to decide acceptable prices to charge and manage my annual tax return. I asked the Smith’s School of English franchise school system ( スミス英会話 ) to manage these concerns.
Teaching English in Japan is fun, and the ability to choose where is a big bonus. Western Honshu is truly one of Japan’s peaceful getaways. Places such as western Yamaguchi, Shimane and northern Hyogo Prefectures await a small number of visitors hoping to carve out a niche. The Sea of Japan looks fantastic in summer. It’s hard to imagine a village only minutes in either direction along the road. However, rail service in rural areas is good and people make the effort to get together. Getting a driver’s license is also simple and visiting remote areas by car is truly rewarding.
An English franchise school is an ideal way to start life in this beautiful and safe country, even if you prefer quiet, country life!
